A suggestive approach to the study of colorectal cancer.

The persistence of Fusobacterium spp and its associated microbioma in colon cancer tissues contribute to the growth and metastasis of colorectal cancers. The tumor microbioma are intrinsic and essential components of the cancer microenvironment.

Fusobacterium-positive colonrectal tumors may benefit from anti-fusobacterium therapy.

An analysis that reinforces the model of the human body as a complex and integrated system in which health and disease derive from the type of interaction established between human and microbial cells.
