Antimicrobial resistance is considered one of the major health problems and it requires new alternative strategies to support the conventional treatments. The article of July is about the Micro Array Patches MAPs, as a possible candidate in the clinical use against different infectious agents e.g., tuberculosis, malaria, skin infections, MRSA infections and COVID-19, either by delivering the therapeutic agents or the protective vaccines. Moreover, the authors discussed the diagnostic possible benefit of MAPs as minimal invasive biosensors to detect the biomarkers of dermal fluid. Finally, the authors elaborated the practical problems and limitations of MAPs that could face the clinical application.
