“Newly explored Faecalibacterium diversity is connected to age, lifestyle, geography and disease”.
Interestingly, Faecalibacterium, one of the most prevalent species in the gut microbioma of healthy human adults, displays a significant diversity according to age, lifestyle, geography and disease. Twenty-two novel Faecalibacterium-like species are identified with different functional potential.
